JFK Fifth Graders Analyze Global Issues

Mrs. McNeely’s fifth grade students at John F. Kennedy Elementary School worked cooperatively to create engaging posters about how nongovernmental multinational organizations positively impact the Western Hemisphere. Students researched organizations such as the Red Cross, Amnesty International, Doctors Without Borders, the Ford Foundation, and Inter-American organizations to learn how they provide disaster relief, protect human rights, improve healthcare, reduce poverty, and promote peace. Through collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking, students analyzed global issues and explained how these organizations make a difference in communities around the world.
