Dear West Babylon Students, Families, and Colleagues,
As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to extend my warmest wishes to you and your loved ones. This time of year reminds us to slow down, reflect, and appreciate the people who bring joy and meaning to our lives.
Despite the hardships and challenges a year may bring, there is always so much to be grateful for. I am certainly grateful for my daughters, my family and friends, and our incredible West Babylon community. A huge thank you to everyone who was involved in supporting families with Thanksgiving meals. Your generosity and compassion embody the very best of West Babylon, and your efforts have made a meaningful difference for many in our community.
I hope you can enjoy time with family, friends, and loved ones over the Thanksgiving recess. May the break bring you rest, laughter, and moments of connection.
As we look ahead and kick off the holiday season, please mark your calendars for the following community events:
- PTA Council’s Annual Jingle Jog
Friday, December 6, at 11:00 a.m. – held at the Junior High School
- West Babylon Community Holiday Tree Lighting
Friday, December 6, at 5:00 p.m. – hosted by the West Babylon Alumni Foundation, Fire Department and the Lions Club - Location: Corner of Little East Neck Road and 3rd Street
Please also be sure to check your school’s calendar for school-specific holiday concerts/events and our
West Babylon UFSD - Community Connections webpage for community flyers. These holiday celebrations are a wonderful way to come together!
Thank you for all that you do for our children and for one another. I wish you and your families a very happy, healthy, and peaceful Thanksgiving.
With gratitude,
Dr. Yiendhy Farrelly
