Walking Into a Great Day at JFK

John F. Kennedy Elementary School students, parents and staff came together on Oct. 7 to celebrate Walk to School Day, turning the morning journey to school into an opportunity to promote healthy habits, pedestrian safety and community spirit. Families gathered at a designated meeting point before walking together to school. The group enjoyed an active start to the day while connecting with classmates, friends, staff and fellow members of the school community. The event was part of the international Walk to School Day movement, which encourages students and families to incorporate walking and biking into their daily routines while promoting pedestrian safety and environmental awareness. By bringing the school community together for a shared morning experience, Walk to School Day highlighted the importance of wellness, connection and making healthy choices part of the school day.
