The district has named Karen Horoszewski as assistant superintendent for finance and operations, effective June 15.

Ms. Horoszewski comes to West Babylon from the Locust Valley Central School District, having most recently served as the assistant superintendent for business since September 2024. Prior to that position, she worked as the school business administrator since 2017.

“I pride myself on being a transparent and collaborative leader who builds strong relationships,” Ms. Horoszewski said. “Presenting financial information in a clear, accessible manner is one of my greatest strengths, allowing me to foster a culture of fiscal responsibility that is both fiscally and educationally sound.”

Ms. Horoszewski holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Master of Business Administration from Dowling College. In addition, she holds a school district business leader advanced certificate.
