Community Comes Together for Annual Wellness Fun Run

West Babylon School District welcomed students, families and community members to its annual Wellness Fun Run on May 18. Organized by the district’s Wellness Committee, the event promoted healthy living, community engagement and family fun through a variety of interactive activities and resources.
Throughout the evening, community organizations connected with families while elementary school PTAs hosted organized activities on the turf field, including cornhole, hula-hoops and obstacle courses. Students also enjoyed face painting and other wellness-themed activities designed to encourage movement and positive social interaction.
The highlight of the event was the annual fun run, which featured students in kindergarten through sixth grade participating by grade level. Family members, staff and peers filled the track with cheers and encouragement as students proudly completed their runs.
The annual event continues to provide an opportunity for the school community to come together in support of student wellness, physical activity and healthy lifestyles in a fun and welcoming environment.
A special thanks to Mr. Panariello, the Wellness Committee, West Babylon student-athletes, and the PTA for their partnership in a wonderful Wellness Fun Run fair.
