Tooker Students ‘Jump’ into Action for Heart Health

Students at Tooker Avenue Elementary School participated in Jump Rope for Heart, a nationwide program that promotes heart health, physical activity and community service, on March 25.
During the event, participants engaged in a variety of jump rope activities designed to keep them active while learning about the importance of maintaining a healthy heart. Physical education classes were filled with energy and excitement as students practiced their jumping skills, challenged themselves with new techniques and encouraged one another to stay moving.
The event also served as a valuable opportunity for students to build teamwork, perseverance and healthy habits that extend beyond the classroom. By combining physical activity with a meaningful cause, Jump Rope for Heart continues to inspire students to take care of their own health while supporting the well-being of others.
