National Art Honor Society Celebrates Creativity

West Babylon Senior High School held its 16th annual National Art Honor Society induction ceremony on March 24, celebrating the artistic talent and academic achievements of student artists.
During the ceremony, NAHS officers spoke about the organization’s pillars and participated in a traditional candle-lighting ceremony, symbolizing the values of scholarship, service, character and leadership. Inductees then took the NAHS pledge, formally recognizing their commitment to both artistic excellence and academic achievement. Each student was presented with a certificate and flowers to commemorate this significant accomplishment.
NAHS advisor Mrs. Bodolai commended the students for their dedication, stating, “Your artistic talent and drive for academic excellence is an inspiration to both your teachers and peers. You are a shining example of why art is a vital component in education.”
The ceremony concluded with a digital student art show, where attendees had the opportunity to view a collection of outstanding artwork created by the inductees. The showcase highlighted the creativity, skill and unique perspectives of the student artists.
Congratulations to the following new inductees: Ariana Caballero, Louis Fishman V, Maria Fiume, Anna Horowitz, Erica Lazo, Jihan Muhammad, Cheyenne Pendergast, Eliana Rodriquez, Melanie Rojas, Reilly Schmidt and Maggie Vail.
