JFK Celebrates Read Across America Day

On March 2, John F. Kennedy Elementary School celebrated Read Across America Day, a nationwide celebration of readers and literacy. Students embraced the spirit of the day by dressing in pajamas and comfortable clothing, creating a cozy atmosphere for reading throughout the school. Classrooms were filled with excitement as students spent time enjoying books and participating in reading activities with their classmates.
The celebration didn’t not stop there. Library media specialist Mrs. Florez has planned a full week of engaging, literacy-based activities designed to inspire a love of reading and encourage students to explore new genres and authors.
Through Read Across America Day and the week’s events, John F. Kennedy Elementary School continues to promote the joy of reading and the importance of literacy in students’ academic growth and lifelong learning.
