West Babylon Senior High School students Kirra Murphy and Matthew Gennings were nominated for the annual Roger Rees Awards for Excellence in Musical Theater. These two students were chosen by adjudicators for their recent roles in the school’s production of “Mamma Mia.” Murphy and Gennings were two of 50 students chosen from all of New York State to participate in this competition. They will compete with students from all across New York during the first weekend in May, working with Broadway industry coaches to try to move on to the National High School Musical Theater Awards.
