Students and staff at Tooker Avenue Elementary School stayed warm by running the first ever Tooker Turkey Trot on Nov. 22. As they completed laps around the field, Tooker Avenue Principal Charles Germano – appropriately dressed as a turkey ¬– cheered them on. Not only did the students get in their physical activity, but the trot was part of the school’s Thanksgiving food drive. Throughout November, they collected items for a Thanksgiving meal, which will be donated to West Babylon School District’s food pantry.
