Universal Pre-Kindergarten

The Universal Prekindergarten program will be funded by a New York State grant.

The UPK program will be provided by independent local providers in the district depending on NYS requirements. Parents must provide transportation to and from the program.

To be eligible, your child must turn 4 years old on or before Dec. 1, 2025.  Applicants will be selected by a lottery to attend this full day program. In order to participate in this lottery, ALL completed forms and required documentation must be submitted via email to Central Registration at WBregistration@wbschools.org or hand delivered to Central Administration Registration Office, 10 Farmingdale Road, West Babylon, NY 11704 or fax to (631) 376-7019 by 4:00 PM on Friday, April 11, 2025.

Applications for West Babylon School District’s 2025-26 Universal Prekindergarten program lottery can be found on our website www.wbschools.org main page’s Announcements or Quick Links and under the Resources tab.

The lottery will take place virtually on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 10:00 AM. The link for the lottery will be posted on our website. At this time, we do not have the exact number of spots available. We are waiting for finalized numbers from New York State.

Residents who are accepted into the program will need to complete additional documents required by our independent providers.
