The West Babylon Junior High School advanced eighth grade studio art class took a field trip to paint windows at Argyle Toys in Babylon Village on Dec. 6. Students were invited by the store’s owners to paint windows for the holiday season. The group was led by art teacher Jennifer Tomeo and Art K-12 Chairperson Caitlin Alfano. The class spent the morning designing, sketching and painting a holiday winter scene on the storefront windows. Students had less than three hours to accomplish the entire scene, providing teamwork opportunities and firsthand experience in preparing materials, color-mixing, sketching, painting and cleanup.
