Voter Registration Form and General Information


THE 2024-2025 BUDGET RE-VOTE WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY, JUNE 18, 2024.
Voting hours are from 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Voters living South of Sunrise Highway vote in the BoardRoom of the Administration Bldg. at 10 Farmingdale Road, West Babylon. Voters living North of Sunrise Highway vote in Santapogue School at 1130 Herzel Blvd., West Babylon.

Requirements to vote:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Cannot be an incarcerated felon
  • Cannot claim the right to vote elsewhere

 

Registered voters may request an application for an absentee ballot in advance of the election if they are unable to vote in person for any of the following reasons:

  • Absence from county on election day
  • Temporary illness or physical disability
  • Permanent illness or physical disability
  • Duties related to primary care of on or more individuals who are ill or physically disabled

 

Voters can complete and file an application for an absentee/early mail ballot. If the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, the application must be received by the District Clerk no later than 7 days prior to the revote- June 11th. The ballot must then be mailed to the voter no later than 6 days prior to the revote . If the application seeks the personal delivery of the ballot to the voter or designated agent, the application must be received by the District Clerk the day prior to the revote.

If you are not registered to vote for School District Elections and the general elections, please visit the office of the School's District Clerk or any school building main office during their regular business hours to register - last day for voter registration is 2 days before the revote - June 14th

NYS - REGISTER TO VOTE

If you wish to vote in New York State (for both general and local elections), you must be registered to vote no later than 25 days before the election. Below is the link to the NYS Board of Elections registration form. Complete the form and return it to your county’s Board of Election office to register (for Suffolk County the address is: PO Box 700, Yaphank, NY 11980).

You must be a United States Citizen, at least 18 years old, you cannot be an incarcerated felon, and cannot claim the right to vote elsewhere.

Registering to vote in New York State also entitles you to vote in the School District Budget Vote and Trustee Election.

If you wish to register for School District Elections and not for the general elections, please visit the office of the School's District Clerk or any school building main office during their regular business hours to register - last day for voter registration is 5 days before the election. This year, the last day to register is May 11, 2023. You must be a United States Citizen, at least 18 years old, you cannot be an incarcerated felon, and cannot claim the right to vote elsewhere. In addition, you must be a resident of the district for at least 30 days prior to the vote.
