Junior High Students thumbnail263445

Students in Mrs. Statfeld’s library class at West Babylon Junior High School recently
participated in Computer Science Education Week. Throughout the week, they engaged in a variety of coding challenges that sparked their creativity and problem-solving skills. In addition to coding activities, students explored the world of artificial intelligence.

They learned how AI functions and discovered the unique aspects of generative AI.
To deepen their understanding, the class reflected on the benefits and drawbacks of generative AI and presented their findings collaboratively, fostering critical thinking and discussions about technology's impact on our lives. Computer Education Week was a wonderful opportunity for students to enhance their skills and knowledge in computer science.
