Five student-musicians from West Babylon Senior High School were recently honored for their hard work and dedication to the arts.

Three students were selected to perform at the New York State School Music Association’s All-State Festival. Based on their exceptional audition at the NYSSMA solo festival, Anthony Mastrangelo was selected as an alternate for choir, Grace Rossi was chosen for orchestra (viola) and Christopher Izzo was chosen as an alternate for concert band (percussion). They will travel to Rochester, New York, in December to perform with other top musicians in New York State.

In addition, West Babylon Senior High School students Nolan Graham (tenor saxophone) and Philip Leon (choir, bass) were selected to participate in the Suffolk County chapter of the New York State Council of Administrators of Music Education High School All-County Festival. Mastrangelo, Rossi and Izzo will also participate in the All-County Festival.
