From Jan. 8-12, John F. Kennedy Elementary School held a college and career spirit week. On Jan. 10, students were encouraged to wear their favorite college, trade school or military attire as they attended a college fair in the cafeteria. Participants included parents and community members who showed off their many diverse career options including police officer, registered nurse, firefighter, district attorney, contractor and real estate agent. Students explored the different stations and learned about their many career options. John F. Kennedy social worker Tina Alviano gave a brief lesson on careers and future aspirations.
