Mr. Stephen O'Leary
Principal
Mr. O'Leary has been working in West Babylon since 2005. He began his career as a math teacher, and has taught at all levels in the high school. In 2008, Mr. O'Leary became the 9-12 Math Chairperson, and in 2011, he became the 9-12 Math and Science Chairperson. Also, Mr. O'Leary participated in test development at the New York State Department of Education. On July 1, 2012, Mr. O'Leary was hired as the Assistant Principal, and in the summer of 2020, he was appointed Principal of West Babylon High School.

Mr. O'Leary received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, a Master of Arts in Mathematics, and a Post Master's Advanced Graduate Certificate in Educational Administration from Stony Brook University.

He is married, and has two sons and a daughter.

Assistant Principal
Mr. Devane comes to West Babylon School District from Baldwin School District where he has taught social studies in the high school since 2006. He has taught all levels in the high school and has served on many academic committees and curriculum writing teams. Mr. Devane was the lead teacher for the Global Studies Curriculum and Economics Curriculum. He has coached both Football and Baseball for the Baldwin School District.

Mr. Devane received his Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Social Studies Education from Long Island University and his Master’s degree in Liberal Arts from Stony Brook University. He also received his advanced certificate in School Building Leadership from The College of Saint Rose.

He is married and has three children.

Assistant Principal
On Sept. 3, the West Babylon School District named Vincent Fiore the new assistant principal of the West Babylon Senior High School. Mr. Fiore will work alongside assistant principal Mr. Devane and Principal Mr. O’Leary. Shortly after graduating from West Babylon High School in 2006, Mr. Fiore began his teaching career in 2010. He has been a teacher in the New York City Department of Education since 2012. Mr. Fiore predominantly taught English Language Arts, but also taught technology, health and creative writing classes. Mr. Fiore also served as the director of after-school programs for the past three years, overseeing scheduling, budgeting, and curriculum development for more than 100 students.

Mr. Fiore holds a bachelor of science in education from SUNY Oneonta, and a master’s degree in literacy from St. Joseph’s College. In addition, he holds advanced certificates in school building leadership and school district leadership from the College of Saint Rose.
