Long Range Planning (LRP) Committee

In June 2024, the Board of Education tasked the Superintendent of Schools with researching the consolidation of elementary schools, as well as identifying opportunities to increase district revenue and improve efficiencies. In response, Dr. Farrelly established a Long Range Planning (LRP) Committee to carry out this charge and present their findings to the Board of Education on January 14, 2025.

Below are all relevant documents, shared information, and minutes from the LRP Committee meetings held between September 2024 and January 2025.

 

The Long Range Planning Committee meeting on November 26, 2024, focused on key updates related to Pre-K-5 district planning and operations. Highlights included a report on the WB Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) program. The committee also reviewed comprehensive analyses of district demographics, facility usage, attendance zones, and a transportation analysis of consolidating from five to four elementary schools.
