From the Principal's Desk...

It is with great pride and excitement that I have been given the
opportunity to be Santapogue’s newly appointed principal. This opportunity
to serve as your principal is a dream come true.

I have been fortunate enough to work within the West Babylon district for
sixteen years. My career started in 2000 at the Junior High School as a
7th and 8th grade Social Studies teacher where I then moved on to become
the K-8 Social Studies Coordinator. My most recent administrative
experience has been shaped by five years of successful leadership as the
Junior High School Assistant Principal. I am elated to bring my skills as
an educational leader to Santapogue Elementary.

I earned a B.A. degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Plattsburgh
University, received an M.S. degree in Education from Stony Brook
University and Administrative Certification from Dowling College.

Along with staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success
established here, by providing the best opportunities to prepare our
students to be world class citizens ready to master the challenges of the
21st century. One of the most important aspects of my work here will be
building strong relationships with students, teachers and families. You
will find me in the hallways, cafeterias, classrooms and on the playground
getting to know your children. My passion has been and always will be
educating the whole child.

As a member of the West Babylon family, I am continually reminded how truly
special our district is. The positive atmosphere and exemplary academic
programs that are offered make me proud to part of this district and now
part of the Santapogue family.

In my free time, I enjoy the beach, boating and spending time with my
family, husband Michael and two amazing children Michael Rocco age 15, and
Gabriella Love age 12.
